A Sense of Satisfaction!

I must declare that God is so good! I had been feeling exhausted and down these few days. Was even rather tired of teaching and going to work today. However, within a few hours, I was filled with joy and excitement to teach again.

Every year, every school will have the ACES Day on Teachers' Day Celebration. ACES --> All Children Exercise Simultaneously. So for the past 2 years, I was put in charge to do something about it. This year, I wasn't in charge, but I handled some of the things and I loved the dances!! I loved it so much more than the previous years'. To cut the long story short, we need to come out with something easier for the P1 and P2 pupils. So today, I took out my Fan Xiao Xuan CD and played the Jian Kang Ge for some of my colleagues to hear. Within a few minutes, we came up with the steps and movements. And the movements were so funny that we laughed non stop. At first, I was rather hesitant to carry out this dance. Then, upon everyone's consensus, we decided to go ahead. Can you imagine, we only learnt for 15 min and we decided to teach the whole of P1 and P2! So I jio all my khakis to bring their class down during my PE periods and began to teach the different classes, with the help of another friend. It was super hilarious and the kids really love the dance and enjoyed themselves so much! I taught the dance for 2hrs 30min straight, was tired but still enjoyed myself.

It was such a great joy to see the smiles on the kids' faces and many of them were singing and dancing at the same time. At the end of the day, when I was doing duty at the gate, many kids whom I do not know, came up to me and say goodbye to me. 1 walked up to me and said that the dance was very funny. Another came and said that it was very fun. At these point, no amount of tiredness can take away the joy that wells up within me. The sense of satisfaction overwhelms me once again.

Thank God for bringing back the passion of teaching. I love the kids and I love teaching PE. Tomorrow, I've set my heart to teach my pupils how to sing the song, so that everyone can enjoy the fullness of dancing and singing!!!
